We planned an August stay and asked the host about booking directly. He agreed and sent us the account details for the deposit. We paid through Revolut and sent proof of the transfer, since international payments can take 2 to 5 business days to process. Three days later, when we checked whether it had arrived, he said it hadn't been credited and that he would cancel the reservation, without explaining why. We then had to contact the bank to get the deposit back. The whole thing felt very unpleasant. We got the impression that the landlord judged people by money and didn't understand how banks or international transfers work. Since direct bookings mean the host avoids booking fees and gets more money, the situation seemed even stranger.

The sea view is stunning, and the apartment is top-notch. It's in a great spot, close to the center and everything else. Definitely recommend it :)

My boyfriend and I spent a week here. The apartment was cozy and really nice, just a few steps from the sea.
