The staff made us feel welcome from the start. They were attentive and professional, and the waiters seemed well trained. The wine list had a good selection, including plenty of high-quality local wines that went wonderfully with the seafood. We had freshly caught fish, cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the starters and sides were delicious and beautifully presented too. Restaurant Bevanda has an elegant, well-kept feel, stylish without being overdone. It made for a memorable evening in Opatija, and we’ll definitely be back.

The food at Bevanda was really good, and the dishes felt fairly priced. What left a bad taste was being charged €7 per person at the end as a service fee, supposedly for the “table.” Nobody told us about it beforehand, and it wasn’t clearly listed on the menu. That kind of charge feels very unusual to me, like a hidden cost or a bit of a rip-off. Excellent kitchen, but the service around the fee was intransparent. I wouldn’t visit again.

At restaurent Bevanda, we were seated on time after making a reservation. The bay views were excellent, though temporary construction partly blocked the view on one side. I had soft, delicious basil gnocchi pasta and a glass of red wine. The service was good, and dessert was good too, a Lava cake with icecream. Recommended.
