What gave the Grand Hotel its special feel was the team. Reception, the restaurant staff, housekeeping, management, and the musicians who made the evenings lovely all helped us feel welcome and at home. Everyone we met was kind, attentive, warm, and professional. The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable, with a wonderful atmosphere. A lovely building matters, but it’s the people who give it a soul, and the team at the Grand Hotel did that for us. Thanks for making our stay so memorable. The pool area was lovely and a great place to relax, and I had a fantastic massage that helped me unwind. My room was incredibly comfortable, with a beautiful view. I also really enjoyed the food, and the sense of luxury throughout the stay stood out. It was a wonderful experience.

The hotel’s interior really suited me as a big marble fan, from the rooms to the lovely lobby. The rooms are modern and very nice, with breathtaking views. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with plenty of food and lots to choose from, so even picky eaters should find something. The indoor pool has beautiful views, and the outdoor pool across the street is cool too. I took the picture from the hotel’s indoor pool.

The room could use a little refreshing, but watching the morning sunrise from the 6th floor made us forget about that. I was there for a short break with my 4Y old daughter. Marina at reception gave us a warm welcome, and the guys in the lobby bar provided such excellent, professional service they deserve an extra star beyond the hotel’s official category. Please keep this highly professional staff in their positions! Breakfast was generally “ok,” though the management could improve how it’s presented and its quality, as well as the breakfast room service. Thank you, and see you next time.

The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, with loads of fresh sweet and savory choices. I made two full rounds and still felt like I’d barely tried it all, but I couldn’t manage a third! The lobby made a great first impression when I arrived, very modern, fresh, and spotlessly clean. The room was clean and pleasant too, with a comfortable bed and setup for relaxing after exploring. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and nicely done. I was only here for one night, but it exceeded my expectations. Opatija is a peaceful little seaside town, with a lovely promenade and beautiful Adriatic views. It’s about a 30-minute drive from Rijeka. The hotel and town made for a memorable quick stop, with a modern, clean, comfortable feel and none of the big-city rush.
