Avoid this place. I had booked and paid in advance for 3 nights through booking, then contacted the host about checking in late. He refused and told me I could come the next day. That was unpleasant but understandable. When I arrived the following day, I learned the Guest House had cancelled my reservation. I ran into the host and asked what happened. He said booking now had to renew it. But when I contacted booking, they told me only the guest house could keep the reservation in that situation. When I went back, nobody was there to speak with, and nobody answered the phone. My reservation was paid in advance, and now there’s no easy way to get the money back. This feels like a big scam. Stay away!

The room had a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel, and they cleaned it every day. The place was very clean and good value, with the nearest beach about 8 minutes away on foot. We had a nice stay.

The bathroom was fine, but the room itself was so-so and “old school.” The story is why we’re upset. We came with friends, all around 60, hoping to spend 7 days here. On the second night, the wife became seriously ill, and she and her husband ran to the hospital. We had paid for the room for all 7 days, so I told the owner I’d invite another friend to use the empty room. He said that wasn’t possible, with some bla-bla-bla about the booking being made through booking and booking prohibiting it. We lost 4 paid nights. The owner got a new guest for the room the very next morning. Two guests in one room, somehow that’s allowed. This happened, and we’re upset now.
