Hotel Istra - Liburnia

We come back often because the hotel is relaxing, easy to get around from, and offers a good balance of comfort and price. The food is reliably good, with plenty of variety. The fitness program with trainer Ivona is a real highlight. Her energy and professionalism make it even better. The staff are all so welcoming and kind, and Lily deserves a special mention for being helpful, friendly and greeting everyone with a smile. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Hotel istra is a cosy place on the lovely riviera, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I visited in February and there were plenty of tables, with a plentiful continental breakfast. Dinner changes each day, and beer and wine are included. There's a small indoor pool filled with seawater. They rent bicycles, but I wouldn't recommend it, since Opatija isn't bike-friendly.

The sea-view setting is beautiful, and the rooms have been renovated and look appealing. We stayed three nights with our family and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and good food. It felt more like a four-star hotel and exceeded what we expected. We'll definitely return.

We had a relaxing one-night stay, and the warm indoor pool, good meals and included drinks were all nice. A baby cot was provided free, and we were allowed to check out at 11. I booked a sea-view room, but the one we got had no view, and the towels hadn't been changed after the previous guests. Parking in Opatija is expensive, and the hotel has no parking of its own. The listed early checkout time was 10 a.m., which is another drawback. That's why I'd rate it 9/10.
