Petra Hills

This is my favorite place I've stayed in Croatia so far. It suits me perfectly: my dog could roam freely inside, on the terrace, and in the garden while I worked on my laptop. It's peaceful, away from traffic and city noise. I didn't mind driving to shop, hike, or go to the beach, or walking about 1.5 km up or down the hill. There are amazing hiking spots around the National Park. The place was very clean, the cleaning ladies did a good job, and the hospitality was great. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner was so friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay in this bright, spacious apartment. The large terrace was a favorite, a lovely place to take in the fantastic sea view. The private parking spaces that come with the apartment were very roomy, too, which was a real plus.

The landlords were very friendly and always available, and we even got a fresh set of linens during our three-week stay. The apartment itself is lovely, though the bathtub only works as a shower or the bathroom would flood. The terrace view is beautiful, especially when the weather is bad ;) For the beach, we drove with our 11-month-old to the end of Lovran, where there's a lovely little sand-and-pebble bay that worked better for a child than the concrete beach areas. The path down from the apartment is very steep and can't be managed with a stroller, so families need a car for everything. Still, we had a lovely, relaxing holiday.
