Apartments Villa Iva

The view was amazing, and the beaches were nearby, but the bathroom was horrible. The smell was really bad and wouldn't go away. The sofa was uncomfortable too.

I've stayed at the Iva apartments twice now, and I'd recommend them. They're right by the beach, clean and comfortable, with everything well equipped. From the terrace you get lovely views of the sea and mountains, and towels are replaced often. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces and no one blocking you in, which can happen elsewhere. The owners are approachable and ask for your contact details so they can reach you if something's wrong.

The beach is right below the house, and the owners are polite. It's a beautiful place with good accommodation, just right for a family holiday. Five stars from me.

The sea view from the terrace is gorgeous, and the apartment is roomy. It's only 40 meters from the beach, near the center, and includes parking. They changed the towels every two days. Still, the place didn't feel worth what we paid, despite those positives. A nearby road carries cars and trucks heading for the ferry to Korcula from early morning until late at night. There were ants, and the air conditioner was very loud without cooling the whole apartment. Paying by card wasn't an option. The kitchen was especially frustrating. The hob is old and barely heats, and the frying pan is so worn and warped that it doesn't sit flat on it or heat properly. The plastic cutting board was in awful shape, and the knives were dull. Several listed items were missing, including a toaster, coffee maker and ironing board. We only got a hairdryer and travel iron after asking about them. There weren't any cleaning basics either: no bathroom soap, dish soap, sponge or garbage bags, and just one roll of toilet paper for two days. Salt, pepper, coffee and tea were also missing. A little effort, like sharpening the knives, replacing a few of the most worn kitchen items and supplying basic cleaning products, would have taken care of many of these problems. The beautiful sea view doesn't make up for all the inconveniences.
