Hotel Mirni Kutak

The view from our room was spectacular, and I was very happy with the stay. The room felt comfortable and was larger than the other hotel rooms we'd had that week. Check-in, dinner, and checkout were all handled very efficiently. Dinner came family style, and I loved the potatoes. Simple, but so tasty I could've eaten them all. The broth in my soup was probably one of the most flavorful I've tried. Everything was clean, and the lounge furniture looked fairly new. I couldn't work out the AC, so I left the window open overnight. We were only there one night as part of a tour. Thanks!

We were lucky to find this family-run hotel open on our drive to Dubrovnik, with the other hotels along the way closed for low season. A couple of negative reviews had made us a little unsure, but we were pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the clean, cozy rooms had bathrooms with modern renovations and bathtubs. They made us homemade breakfast in the morning and invited us to come back. There is definitely a modern, working elevator, despite a review saying otherwise. It's friendlier and nicer than similarly priced places in the US. Great value for travelers!

The beds were comfortable, but the rooms were very basic and service was mediocre. Breakfast was such poor quality that I didn't risk eating it even once. Dogs barked all night and kept me awake. I won't stay here again.

Kiki, the lovely dog out front, is especially friendly, just like the staff. The hotel is well placed for visiting the bear sanctuary or Plitvice national park, and drinks, including beer, are priced very well. A must stay if you're in the area.
