There are no lights around the camp, so it’s dark at night. We had cold water for bathing because there was no hot shower. There are also very few toilets and bathrooms. The washing machine didn’t work, even though they charge 9 euros to use it.

I can’t really rate the camp itself, because we were told to leave. We were passing through on the way back from holiday and stopped to visit friends staying there. We chatted at their tent pitch for about 20 minutes, then the operator came over with the owner on the phone and kicked us out, or said we’d have to pay 10 euros per person. This was in the daytime, and we had children with us. We weren’t causing a disturbance. My friends and I won’t come back, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
We paid €50 for one night in mid-September, cash only. That’s more than we paid at the place we stayed near Dubrovnik. We were squeezed in about a meter from sublet flats, though some pitches are a good size and you might get a sea view if you’re lucky. The beach and sunset are what make this place. The beach was very quiet, and the sunset was fabulous, so we’d recommend it if you’re prepared for the €50. The showers and toilets were clean, but there aren’t many, and the toilet paper seemed to disappear quickly. I had to use my own in the afternoon. There are no washing machine facilities.
The pitches were comfortable, and the toilets and showers were clean. It’s a nice campsite in a good spot, with a walking promenade. We stayed 22 nights, from 9.08 to 31.08, paying 55€ per night, but didn’t receive a long-stay or seasonal discount. Our neighbors paid less after 28.08, which seemed strange compared with our other experiences. Still, it’s a good place.
We especially liked how close the campsite is to the sea. Within a few minutes you can reach beautiful, uncrowded spots, and the direct sea view from the campsite is a real highlight. It’s small, set among olive and pine trees, with a friendly, familiar feel and not many pitches, so it’s much quieter than other places. The facilities are clean, and the prices are okay. Pakoštane is about a 25-minute walk along a beautiful seaside path. We can recommend it.
