Hotel Petrcane

The staff were lovely, and they gave us an extra an hour and half when we asked for a late check coz our flight was super late at night. We really liked staying outside busy zadar. The hotel is probably one of the cutest around here, with an amazing view, a nice breakfast, and a spacious, clean room. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and even the kids' sofa bed was comfortable too.

The restaurant's outdoor patio has glass walls that open, so you can enjoy the bay view even when the weather's bad. They prepare and serve meals all day except at breakfast time, and the breakfast spread was nice, with eggs, bacon, potatoes, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, ham, olives, pastries, and little pancakes made by a machine. Our room and bathroom were a good size and clean, with a beautiful view over the bay and its anchored boats. The hotel sits beside a pleasant bay, though reaching it through the narrow streets of Petrčane willage is a bit of a challenge. It's a smaller hotel in a pleasant willage where you can stroll along the sea and enjoy life.

The rooms were particularly small, and some had faulty aircons. We stayed one night with our tour group, and after checking in that evening we were told there would be a "buffet dinner." There were only 4 trays of rice, chicken, pork, and vegetables, in small portions that weren't replenished. The food was like a school canteen, so everyone was hungry and dissatisfied, and even our bus driver had nothing left to eat. Our waiter was a young Ukrainian boy who stayed nice despite looking extremely stressed and overworked. I didn't see anyone else helping him, even though Management knew a big group was coming. Poor guy.

The staff are very friendly and breakfast was very good, but the hotel needs renovation. The showers aren't ok, and the terrace and surroundings need TLC. You can hear everything, it's not soundproof at all. For that price I'd expect better. I don't recommend it, try another hotel.
