Apartments Villa Maria

I first stayed at Villa Maria in June 2021 and liked it so much that I came back in July. The owners were kind and helpful, answered all my questions, met me at the airport and showed me places like the shops. The clean, comfortable apartments had everything I needed, and everything was new. The location was great and quiet, with no road noise or music from the hotel. Just be ready for hills on the way to and from the beaches. There are two good restaurants nearby, clean beaches, and large tennis and soccer courts. I definitely recommend Villa Maria apartaments and would choose it again if I return to Dubrovnik.

The beaches were about a 600-meter walk away, and the view from the balcony was lovely, especially at sunset. The apartment is also close to Dubrovik, around 15 minutes by car, and the quiet setting felt very peaceful. Konoba King, our favorite restaurant, is very close, and the beaches weren’t crowded. Inside, everything was clean and tidy, with modern furniture that looked just like the pictures. They changed the towels and took out the trash every day. Ann and Dubravko welcomed us in person, left a bottle of delicious white wine and fruit, and answered all our questions with a smile. Dubravko gave us tips on restaurants, beaches and shops. They were some of the kindest people we met on our trip to Croatia. Sorry if I’m praising them too much, but I’ve never experienced that level of kindness. I highly recommend the place for families and couples alike.

From the fruit plate and wine waiting for us to a homemade cherry pie from the landlady, we felt looked after, and every detail showed care. The place was beautifully neat, and even our teenage daughters, who aren’t easy to please, loved it. There’s a gorgeous sea view with islands, and Dubrovnik old town is a 10-minute drive away. We absolutely recommend it!

The apartment really felt like home, with plenty of space, a cozy feel, spotless rooms and everything we needed, including AC, TV, Wi-Fi, parking, kitchen accessories and a washing machine with detergent. The balcony view was beautiful. In the morning, we’d take our coffee outside and watch and hear the birds flying and singing. The hosts were wonderful, kind and friendly, and attentive in case we needed anything. On arrival they’d left white wine and fruit on the table, plus a bottle of purified water in the fridge. It’s a fantastic place for a holiday, and we wished we could have stayed longer.
