The only real snag was the air conditioning. We couldn’t get it working, though it may have been us not knowing how to use it, and the cooler nights meant we didn’t need it anyway. Wi-Fi was free, but weak outside the lobby and tricky to connect to. The owners were so warm and welcoming, and even opened their nearby restaurant just for us while we were the only guests during corona. We really enjoyed the food too. All in all, we had a great stay and would recommend it for a visit to the lakes.

The owners handled everything for our four-night stay and were lovely, always happy to help. Breakfast was very good, and Plitvice was only a few minutes away by car. The place was clean and peaceful, with nature all around. We really enjoyed it.

After a day walking in the nature park, it was great to come back to somewhere quiet and relaxing. The Vila is only a few minutes away by car, and our room and bathroom were very clean. We woke to green scenery and lovely weather, then had a well-prepared breakfast. The owner was so friendly and accommodating, and his cozy little restaurant felt homey, with good local food.

The breakfast area was really lovely, and there are restaurants nearby. You’ll need a car to get around, though the NP is only a few miles away, about a 10-minute drive. We stayed at the beginning of the season, when it was cool and pleasant, so I can’t say how the AC is. Our room smelled a little damp, and we could hear the room above us during a football WC match that night.

The way my vacation was disrupted was bad enough, but nobody even apologized. They accepted my reservation, then changed the dates without telling me or getting my agreement. I only noticed by chance. I was traveling on those dates with two small kids, and it seemed they expected us to sleep under a tree. That was completely unprofessional and disrespectful to their own business.
