We called late at night while traveling from Italy to Albania and needed somewhere for me and my four family members to sleep. The man on the phone offered a room or an apartment. We chose the cheaper apartment option, quoted at 58 euro on the phone, but were charged 68 when we arrived, and it could not fit five people. We ended up having to pay 116 euro for what was called an "apartment," though it was just a double room with four single beds, and breakfast was not included. The room was awful, with a dirty, worn carpet, a broken chair, and very rough, old furniture. We urgently needed rest before driving again the next day, but honestly, better to avoid this place.

The staff were very friendly and gave us suggestions for cool places to check out, which made it hard to leave this review. Still, they didn't offer any discount when the AC wasn't working. That was especially rough at +35°C, with hot air vents blowing into my room all night. The other Google reviews don't reflect the problems here, and I hope this honest review helps the hotel improve. There's a lot of noise from the large port harbour, day and night, so if noise pollution bothers you, I'd avoid the town generally. If you can live with it, the area is well worth seeing and still seems unspoiled by tourism. Camping? For what you get, the price is much too high. I've stayed in nicer places for far less. Breakfast was atrocious: plastic cheese, paté that smelled and looked off, with no DLC, and cold scrambled eggs on a big platter. Some plates still had tomato sauce from the previous person's meal. My bed was uncomfortable. The bedside lights were wired straight into a broken plug socket, which is dangerous and a fire hazard, and the electrical cable ran beneath the mattresses on both beds. Other things were in disrepair too, including the windows, balcony door, shutters, skirting boards, and toilet seat. The WiFi didn't work on the 3rd floor where I stayed, and I think the TV dates from the 80s. The hotel also lacks most of the amenities you'd expect at a 3 star hotel, hence the 1 star.

The rooms were small, and the pillows and mattresses were horrible. Breakfast was awful too, and the price wasn't cheap for a place in this location.
