Villa Paškal

We really enjoyed staying here. The bed was comfortable, our room was clean, and it's close to the beach. The staff were kind, sweet, and helpful, and everything we had for breakfast and dinner tasted great. Nothing to complain about.

The grilled meat was a real highlight, especially the mixed meat plate with blitva. It was fantastic. They also serve very good seafood, including fresh fish kept on ice. Add the lovely views and friendly staff, and it's somewhere I'd happily visit every day.

I'm only reviewing the restaurant. We waited over an hour for painfully slow service, and the food wasn't good enough to justify what it cost. Nobody seemed to care that people were smoking right in our faces. One of us ordered mussels, but half were empty and the dish was messy. The pizza was more ordinary, though we've had much better. We're not going back.

This is just a rating of the restaurant. We've eaten here twice, and both times the food took a very long time to arrive and didn't feel worth the price. The meat was either undercooked, or, in our case with the spaghetti, there were bugs in it. The kitchen seemed overwhelmed by the number of orders, even when there weren't other guests around, and the fish didn't look very fresh. The waiter was the only person who seemed motivated, which is why I didn't give one star. The boss doesn't seem to understand how to coach staff or set an example for service in a tourist restaurant.
