Bluesun Hotel Neptun

I shared room 520 with my son. It was quiet, though the view wasn’t nice, and I’d choose a quiet room again. The bed was really nice, and the cleaning lady did a fantastic job. The restaurant food was fantastic. Making so many different dishes at such high quality for so many people is impressive. Bravo 👏 Everyone at the hotel was helpful and nice ❤️

The food was okay, you won’t go hungry, and all-inclusive drink choices were very limited, but it was okay. There were no activities or kids’ club while we were there. The room was modern and clean, the hotel was lovely, and the reception staff were very welcoming. It’s a nice spot for a stroll to the marina.

Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony, though the view isn’t guaranteed. The hotel was full, but they still accommodated our request to change rooms. The all-inclusive food was very good, with lots of variety and fish. The coffee wasn’t to our taste, not Lavazza, but there are cafes nearby where you can get better coffee. The location is ideal, right by the sea, though the pebble beach calls for special shoes. It’s a two-hour coach journey from Split, and buses go to Makarska port, where boats take you to Hvar and Brac islands. I wouldn’t recommend a taxi, since they charge €15 for 2km to Makarska. You can’t really walk there, but local buses are available, so ask at reception. Some staff treated us poorly when we ordered drinks. We’re not big drinkers and have one or two every other day, but some looked down on us as if we hadn’t paid. They need to change their attitude or not work in customer service. The staff lack training, and the basic training is a smile. Still, as a three-star all-inclusive hotel, it’s very good value. I wouldn’t stay here if we planned to spend the whole time in the hotel without excursions, and there’s no entertainment. The gym is outdated and needs upgraded equipment. A big plus for guests with pets: dogs are allowed, though you eat in a separate restaurant room. We went in October and, overall, it was a really good option.

Right by the waterfront, with clear water just outside, and a lovely pool too. The dining area was spotless and well organized, with plenty to choose from at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were also grateful for how patient the receptionists were when we struggled with our iPhones. They took the time to explain everything and helped us get it all sorted, making us feel welcome from the start. We came in October after booking through easyJet, our first trip to Croatia. An easyJet representative met us at Split airport and drove us for about 2 hours and 15 minutes to the hotel. Every member of staff worked hard to make the stay a good one. We loved it enough to book another visit for next May.
