Apartments Villa Tanja

The sea view from the balcony was beautiful. But I can’t recommend this for a quiet, child-friendly stay. The apartment was in poor condition and dirty, especially the kitchen and bathroom. There were ants and other insects in the kitchen, cobwebs, a broken faucet, a dirty bathtub, a dirty washing machine, and another broken faucet in the bathroom. The toilet seats in both bathrooms were broken. They were replaced after we asked, but the landlady and her sons arrived late, and the replacement took two hours. The TV was old, and kitchen appliances and dishes were missing. Water from the apartment’s AC dripped into the bathtub, while condensation from the apartment above dripped onto the balcony, leaving only part of it usable. There were old, rusty heating pipes with sharp edges in every room, which felt particularly dangerous. Parking was insufficient, with illegal parking and the landlady’s children’s private vehicles taking up space. The apartment is beside a busy, noisy coastal road where people often speed. Even with a pedestrian crossing, crossing felt life-threatening, and we were almost hit several times.

The host was great and always available. The apartment is spacious enough for five, with two toilets and a bathroom, plus secure parking and easy access. It’s private, in an excellent location with the sea right in front. There’s a large terrace for enjoying the view of the sea and islands.

The view is beautiful, and the host is kind. It’s excellent value for money. A five minute walk gets you to the mini market or the beach, where there are very few people. For jet skiing, you need to walk 2 km along the beach. Split and Omis are just a stone’s throw away.

For the price, it’s okay. There’s room to sleep four people, or five if someone uses the sofa, and the kitchen has the basic essentials.
