Hotel Split

The beaches nearby are beautiful, and the view may have been the only highlight of our stay. At the price per night, the hotel felt like a rip-off and poor value. The rooms show their age and badly need renovation. There were also lots of extra charges for basics like sunbeds and parking, even though there’s no parking close by. The dining options were especially disappointing. The hotel restaurant was closed while we were there, as was the bar. Breakfast was the same limited selection every day, with no variety. Don’t expect pancakes or other breakfast favourites. The beach bar is independent of the hotel, so you need to keep money on you for food and drinks. For what we paid, it felt more like budget accommodation. There was no service. When conversations did happen, they were very friendly. Given all the problems and the price, some compensation would be appropriate, rather than a discount for a “next visit” that will never happen.

We liked having the beach right there, with bars and restaurants nearby. There were also some nice restaurants in Podstrana near one of the bigger hotels. It was easy to get into Split by Bolt and Uber, even in traffic. The beach is lovely, though the hotel doesn’t have its own deck chairs. We booked quite last minute and the price was reasonable, as other places were much more expensive. Staff were lovely, the beds were comfy, and our terrace had a great sea and beach view. Breakfast was good but a bit limited. The rooms were nice and spacious, though they could use an update, especially the carpets. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and it was a great base for beach days and trips into the city.

The view was lovely to wake up to, and the hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was adequate, and the breakfast staff were really welcoming. Please add decaffeinated tea to the drinks, not just coffee. The main problem was the Wi-Fi. It was poor overall and didn’t reach our room.

The staff were friendly, helpful and nice, and the rooms themselves were nice. The place sits right on the beach, but breakfast was below what I’d expect from a four-star hotel. It’s expensive and not worth the price.
