Getting to Villa Marija in Podstrana was a little tricky because of the road, but it was well worth it. The apartment was fantastic, well cared for, and had everything we needed for a memorable vacation. Our host was so kind and friendly that we felt at home right away. A truly lovely stay!

The Czech cooks deserve credit for making delicious meals out of ordinary ingredients. Without their food, I think camping under a tent would have been the better option. The conditions are Spartan, so don't expect cleaning and bring your own towels if that suits you.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The owner was discreet but always available, and very kind.
