Alma Hostel 2

The hostel’s handy for a few nights, with plenty of restaurants nearby and Wi-Fi that worked well. The bathrooms are tiny, though that’s understandable in an older building, and they could use hooks or somewhere to set clothes. There’s just one shared washing machine, no sign-up system, and nowhere to hang things except the windowsill. I used a laundromat that washed, dried, and folded my laundry instead. The towels are small, so bring your own. I wouldn’t want to stay here longer than a few nights.

I’d come back. The staff were really friendly and available, and the rooms and small toilets were clean and tidy. You’re right in the old town, with shops, parks, and restaurants all around. There’s air conditioning and a fridge, too. A few lockers needed fixing, and more wall outlets would help, though an extension cord sorted that out.

The room had dirty walls, broken curtains, and a window that wouldn’t open or close. The bed had broken the day before, the owner said, so there was nothing he could do. He also said maybe he needed to buy better quality. He does. Save yourself the money and stay around the corner. This place costs too much for what you get.

Just what I needed, and the staff were lovely. It was clean, and the shower was warm.
