Hotel Molindrio Plava Laguna

The worst part was how dirty the room was: long black hair in the bathtub and a dirty rug. The rooms themselves are shabby and old, with horrible, outdated furniture and poor equipment. Food is very basic and not very good, and the staff were only borderline helpful, without making much effort. The sauna is open only from 11 AM to 8 PM, not later. I can’t recommend the hotel, and it doesn’t deserve a 4 star category.

The outdoor pools were clean and comfortable, and they gave us fresh towels each time we went for a swim. Food was nice and service very efficient. The hotel is nice overall, though the spa is quite small, the rooms aren’t very big, and the style feels rather old.

The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the surroundings were tidy and beautiful, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms look a bit old-fashioned and the carpet could be cleaner. Dining was simple, more like a canteen.

The restaurant was great, with a variety of food and soft drinks. The pool is mediocre: fine for a basic dip or swim, but forget doing laps. Its bottom and sides are all white, so when swimming with your eyes open or diving, it’s impossible to tell where the edges are. We didn’t get time to try the wellness area or gym, so I can’t say how those are. It’s a typical summer 4* hotel, and being a big place, things run smoothly. But for the price we paid, we expected a better room. One light didn’t work, and parking should have been free. I also can’t understand why they put us on a floor with a bunch of kids from a soccer camp. Those little guys were extremely noisy in the evenings. Staff should have known better and placed a family with small children away from the noisy footballers, especially since they asked the children’s ages during booking.
