Pical Family Hotel

There’s plenty for kids to do both inside and outside, and the outdoor pool area is lovely and spacious, with heated pools and a waterpark with slides. There’s an indoor pool area and spa as well. Our clean, roomy room had a nice view of the outdoor pools. The all-inclusive restaurant was great, with lots of space and a good range of food from breakfast through dinner. Local wine and beer were included. The chefs were ready to help prepare food for people with allergies, which mattered a lot to us. There are so many choices for food, relaxing, leisure, and spa time. It’s a new luxury 5* hotel, so everything looks really nice. From the moment we arrived, service was top level. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything. We felt at home, and I can’t wait to return after our very nice weekend stay.

A lot of the hotel still felt unfinished, with construction work happening in different areas and dozens of workers around. The infrastructure was hit and miss too. Our room key didn’t work for a whole day, so we had to use a physical key. We nearly weren’t allowed into breakfast because our room number wasn’t showing as eligible, even though we had full board. After spending 10% of my life traveling and staying in hotels, I’d never before had such a firm no when asking for a 1h late checkout. They didn’t even ask for the room nb in question. The stay was disappointing and below expectations. I’d only recommend it at a significant discount, or you could visit nearby Amarin hotel in Rovinj instead.

Great hotel, highly recommended. We’ll be back next year.
