Someone very close to me went on vacation here alone and tragically died. I arrived two days later to collect their things, but the room, which had been booked for another five days, had already been given to someone else. Their belongings had been put into trash bags and brought to me. Their wallet and phone were missing. I overheard a staff member tell the director they had the wallet but hadn't opened it. After I contacted the local police, the wallet and phone somehow turned up in the room, even though the director had assured us that the room had been thoroughly searched and nothing was found. I saw them as soon as I walked in. I can't describe the disgust and anger I felt at a time when I should have been grieving such a loss. They took the room, bagged up the belongings, lied to me, and tried to steal the wallet and phone. Just unbelievable.

The heated outdoor pool was a nice touch, and Valamar did a great job making us feel welcome. I was here for a two-day business trip and the service was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty of choices and dishes.

The place is lovely if you enjoy well-kept gardens, good service, the nearby sea, and sea sports. It felt like a spot to recharge and restore our health. Thanks to Morena and all the staff, who put a lot of effort into making our stay comfortable.

We were staying at Diamanté next door and went over to use the Sunny's pool. It's salt water and a little deeper than the pool at Diamanté Hotel, so it was a nice change.
