Villa Salvea

There was lots of space for the two of us and our two dogs, and the house was just as pictured. It’s a peaceful place for a relaxing break, with shops in Vrsar and Poreč. We went to Conoba Gradina four times; the food was delicious, though prices are a bit high, and you need to book ahead. The village itself is very quiet. Silvo Zaja was attentive, and the pool and hot tub were cleaned. We turned on the pool heater at the end of September. Dog owners should know that a low wall lets dogs get into the neighbor’s property, so you’ll need to watch them if they like exploring. It didn’t bother us. A bird control station about 100 meters away was one small drawback, since the owners’ dogs bark loudly and for a long time. That wasn’t the host’s fault. The house had everything we needed, including spices and cleaning supplies. The TV is a bit small, but we spent evenings relaxing in the hot tub anyway. We were welcomed with olive oil, wine, and a huge fruit basket, and got homemade schnapps and olive oil soap as parting gifts. It was a fantastic vacation, and we highly recommend the house.
