Hotel Lucija

The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable, with two nicely equipped bathrooms, and the large balcony had lovely views. It was a shame there wasn’t a kettle or coffee machine in the room, or any bottled water. The hotel’s menu was fine but limited. Breakfast was adequate too, except for the fruit drink, which was so watered down it was just strange. The location was very good.

We stumbled across this lovely spot on the way 😀 The location is beautiful, with a private beach and great views. Our room was the last one available, so it had only a small balcony rather than the big-view option 😄, but the shower room was good. You can just unwind by the water or sit with a cup of tea in the restaurant area. Either way, it’s a relaxing place.

The restaurant terrace is lovely, and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel sits in a great spot by the lake with its own beach, and parking is plentiful. Our room felt fresh, modern and spacious, with a large balcony. Staff from reception through the dining room were friendly, attentive and efficient. My one suggestion is a smoking area on the terrace so people eating aren’t bothered by smoke. I think this is an issue across Croatia. Otherwise, we had a very good stay.

The room’s view was lovely and the little private beach has charm, but the price for one night with breakfast didn’t feel justified. I won’t return. The hotel wasn’t clean or well maintained to the standard it should be. I was especially uncomfortable in the bathroom: there were pubic hairs by the toilet and in the shower, dust on the bin, mold on the tiles, and the shower was clogged so barely any water came out. The cabin door was also very hard to open. The balcony chairs had dirty, torn cushions, so sitting outside wasn’t pleasant either. Breakfast felt like a 2-star hotel offering, not a 4-star one. The cold cuts looked days old and discolored, my water glass with coffee was dirty, and the restaurant tablecloths were stained. We’d chosen the hotel based on its good reviews during our Dalmatian tour, so this was a real disappointment.
