Villa Gora

The quiet beach nearby was a hit with the kids, and getting there on foot meant tackling a few steps. We spent two weeks in Posedarje in August 2025, with two couples and a family, in lovely apartments that were furnished with care and felt comfortable the whole time. Gora and her husband were so kind and helpful, and little surprises would turn up on our terraces. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting. It was an active but relaxing holiday, and we had a wonderful time. Best wishes from Heike and Thomas, the children, and the grandchildren.

The privacy was just right, and the house and its setting looked just as lovely as advertised. Gora and her husband welcomed us warmly and were always available if we needed something. It was especially handy that Gora speaks German, which made communication easy. My eight-year-old son kept busy between playing by the pool and visiting the beautiful pebble beach, where swimming barefoot was no problem. We had a fantastic vacation, and I'm grateful to our hosts. Wishing them all the best, and maybe we'll return someday.

The little tavern was a real treat: Ivan and Gora make their own red and white wine, olive oil, ham, cheese in oil, jams, and liqueurs, all of which made for an authentic taste of Dalmatia. Their homemade wine and local ham were also waiting for us when we arrived, and the hosts were generous with suggestions for places to eat and explore. We stayed for two weeks at Villa Gora Posedarje and found the stone villa just as pictured, with two airy, air-conditioned bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a garden barbecue area. The pool was kept in great shape, and its depth and counter-current system made it good for both relaxing and swimming for exercise. The sea is about 100 meters away, with a lovely view over the Novigrad Sea. Nearby, we enjoyed swimming, hiking, the stone Stations of the Cross, and Zadar. Gora and Ivan were always warm and ready to help, including with arranging a boat trip and sharing regional outing and food tips, so we didn't need to spend ages searching online. We came away refreshed after a stylish and comfortable stay, and would happily return. Torsten, Beate, and our furry friend "Zeus" send dear Gora and dear Ivan a big "Hvala lijepa!"
