Hotel Brattia

We had such a lovely stay! We arrived a day late after spontaneously deciding to spend an extra night somewhere else, and the hotel upgraded us from a room to an “apartment.” It was more like a little mansion, so beautiful, spacious and big. Hotel Brattia has all the thoughtful extras I often miss at larger hotels, like bathrobes, shoes and toiletries. It’s in a wonderful fishing village that feels authentic rather than touristy, and the à la carte breakfast was great. The service was really attentive and friendly. Since it’s a small boutique hotel, the pool never felt crowded and the whole place had an exclusive feel. It’s so nice you barely want to leave 🙈 Thanks for everything, we’ll definitely be back to this hidden gem! ❤️

We loved our stay and will definitely return. It’s one of the best boutique hotels we’ve visited, and the lovely staff made it even better. The rooms are finished beautifully. The one at the very top has a lovely sea view, and the other rooms are practically suites. The pool is a pleasant place to relax, with a beautiful view over the little town. Breakfast comes with fresh local products.

We left wishing we could have stayed longer, though we already had other plans. My brother-in-law, who was visiting from Australia, was also amazed by the quality of service. I hope the National Croatian Tourist Board uses this family-run hotel as a case study, so there can be more stories like this. Congratulations to the management and staff. We’ll definitely return. The welcome started before check-in. We arrived early, and Lea invited us for coffee in the beautiful inner courtyard overlooking the pool. The staff then went out of their way to get our suite ready early. It was magnificent, with luxury materials and finishes, and spread over three floors, so it felt like a house. The hotel is small, with impeccably designed rooms and personal service. All the staff are locals and can give tips on what to do around the island. Breakfast is à la carte rather than the usual hotel buffet, and includes coffee and orange juice. It was delicious. We felt at home right away, which is what hospitality should do. Of all the five-star places we’ve stayed, from Dubrovnik to Istria, this one compares very favorably. It’s an example of how tourism in Croatia should be done.

The location makes it easy to get around on foot, with restaurants nearby and the market just around the corner. We also recommend Inkognito bar, about a 10-minute walk away, a relaxed place for a cocktail and sunset. The rooms are huge, comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished, with everything you might need. The pool area is peaceful, breakfast has lots of choice, and the staff are friendly and attentive.
