Holiday resort Adriatic

We had lovely weather and enjoyed the setting by the ocean and pool, but there isn't anything nearby. You'll need to get supplies at the supermarket about 4 km away. The tents looked much nicer and cleaner than the bedrooms. Our room was dark, had few windows, and was pretty expensive. The beds were really uncomfortable, there were too many mosquitoes, and it wasn't very clean. The website says rooms are “serviced” daily, but that wasn't cleaning in any real sense. They quickly cleaned the bathroom and took out the rubbish, then left the rest alone. We stayed five days, and the floor and balcony weren't cleaned, and the sheets weren't changed even once. Breakfast was poor and very basic. The fish at the restaurant was very good, but the waiters took ages to come over and take our order, even though they didn't seem busy. WiFi didn't work anywhere.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the restaurant is lovely, with little balcony-style seating spots beside the pool and sea. The pool is a real plus over Croatia's rocky beaches, especially with kids. We had a bungalow with a nice balcony and sea view, 10m from the pool and 50m from the beach. Our friends stayed at a tent camping spot, and both places were really nice. Great service, and a perfect place for families.

The place is beautiful and could be one of the best options for a longer stay in Pelješac. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy helping guests. For us, things felt perfect until we repeatedly saw one of the owners, the older one, yelling at and insulting the cleaning staff. At first we thought someone had broken something and let it pass. A few days later, we saw the same man publicly shouting at the receptionist outside the reception, insulting him and asking if he was crazy and really wanted to work there. I don't support mistreating people. It felt very unprofessional, and staff who provide such excellent service in both areas shouldn't be treated that way. That's why I gave one star. I hope it changes. Beyond being bad for the staff, seeing this kind of behavior in public from the direct owner made us uncomfortable.

Mokalo beach is very close to the resort, and the sea there is amazingly clear and clean. The apartment was great, the young staff were professional, and breakfast was OK. We ate well at Adriatic restaurant, with reasonable prices, and had a very nice vacation.
