Golden Rays Luxury Villas

We had an amazing time at this beautiful modern resort overlooking the sea. Our four bedroom villa felt luxurious, with elegant interiors and a spacious outdoor terrace. On hot sunny days, the pool was especially practical because half of it is under a roof. The indoor staircase is artistic and groovy, though I wouldn’t call it kid friendly.

The villa is lovely, with three floors, an indoor pool, a gym, a sauna, and a patio with a new gas grill. The beach is just steps away, and town is about a 20-minute walk. But the stairs have a springy bounce to them, so small kids and older guests may need help. There are lots of bugs, and the shower has no shelf, which means the soap ends up on the floor. The cleaning crew washes the dishes, though I found a lid with egg on it from the morning before, and the barbecue tools had been put away dirty too. A useful tip: the silverware is in the pullout tray above the utensils and cutting boards. The beach here is rocky.

The apartment was clean and had a lovely sea view, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There's a pool at the property, and the sea is about a five-minute walk away. There isn't really a beach at the access point, just a ladder down into the water. Stony beaches are also within walking distance.

The team were friendly and supportive, and the room and bathroom were comfortable. The layout could work better, though: the bathroom is very large, while the room is small, and the long veranda isn't wide enough to sit comfortably. The view was amazing, the pool was nice, and the stone beach had crystal-clear water. A few things need attention: more breakfast variety, better upkeep of the beach parasols, and improved internet.
