Villa Marica Primošten

The shared terrace and garden were a highlight, with a barbecue, dining table, outdoor fridge, plenty of seating, and a sunbed beside the amazing large pool. Our apartment and the other rooms were spotless, pleasant, and everything worked. We also had a lovely sea view from our own terrace. Villa Marica is toward the edge of Primosten, a little away from the center, which suited us. It was a short walk to the sea, and we could stroll along the water for sunset, passing a playground for the children. A bit of walking on a seaside holiday is good! We loved the quiet here, and the villa's position by the edge of the street gave us views of the sea on one side and green hills on the other, which you wouldn't get in the center. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, almost like having reception around the clock. Our son called him grandpa. He was happy to sort things out or bring anything we needed, and even gave us homemade Croatian bread and local treats for our son to try. We don't usually return to places because we like discovering somewhere new, but we'll definitely come back to Villa Marica. We first came here about ten years ago, at the start of the holidays, and have returned every year since. We’re always sorry to leave and go back to everyday life, so we often come back for another 4-5 nights in September the same year. For my wife, it feels a bit like a second home. It's a quiet, friendly place to relax. The pool is clean, and the loungers, parasols, and seating around it are comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are always in perfect order. The hosts are lovely and clearly care about their guests. They welcome us warmly each time, with refreshments ready that we're happy to enjoy. I feel they'd help if a problem came up. Primošten and the surrounding area are beautiful for a break. We're already looking forward to next year and some more peace and quiet. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

We ran into several problems in the deluxe apartment. The toilet didn't work properly, the fridge wouldn't cool, the freezer was dirty and its broken handle meant we couldn't open it, and the terrace door didn't close properly. The old air conditioning sometimes switched itself off. The extra bed was unusable, with no proper mattress and a sunken frame that left you sure to wake up with a sore back. When we asked the host for help with the apartment issues, he was condescending and didn't help. He also enforced rules that hadn't been mentioned in the booking. The pool and summer kitchen were the only good points.

The hosts were kind and friendly, and the apartments have a nice sea view. There's also a pool and a spacious shared terrace. I'd recommend staying here.
