Apartments Manuela

The apartment itself was okay, with a kitchen and air conditioning, but communication caused real problems. The owner speaks Croatian and a little German, but no English, despite the reservation site saying otherwise. They also took our identity cards, supposedly for safety reasons, which seemed strange. Early in the morning, while cleaning neighboring apartments, they spoke loudly and made a lot of noise. On holiday, I’d like to get more rest than usual. They wouldn’t accept kuna and insisted on euros. I don’t understand why you can’t pay in the country’s currency. I had to buy euros with kuna from an ATM, which cost me extra. If I’d known, I could have exchanged money at home on better terms. I’d tried calling before we arrived but couldn’t reach them. I’ve stayed in hotels and traveled to many places around the world over the past ten years, and I’d think twice before returning to Manuela. Safe travels, and enjoy your stay!
