Aqua Blue

We loved the view and the peaceful spot right beside the sea. Those two things made up for some shortcomings, and the apartment was only a couple of metres from the water. It was our second time at Aqua Blue. Three years ago we stayed in the three-room apartment one floor down, where we also missed having an outdoor shower. This time we booked the two-bedroom penthouse, with a rooftop terrace and whirlpool. It was roomy, nicely furnished, and had working air conditioning throughout. There are two toilets with sinks, though only one of them is in a bathroom with a shower. A few things could be better. There weren't enough dishes, and the cleaning was poor: the living room sofa was very dusty and had hair from the previous guest on it. The laundry room smelled strongly of sewage. There are no mosquito screens, and the balcony gets so much afternoon sun that sitting there after 3 p.m. is impossible. We rinsed off with a hose on the roof terrace after swimming, but an outdoor shower by the building would be a real improvement. The stairs up to the terrace are steep and have no handrail. For the price, I would have expected some personal service, but almost everything is handled without contact.

We came away with really lovely memories of our June stay at Aqua Blue Apartments. The apartment was right on the beach, with a beautiful sea view from the balcony and stunning sunsets. It was modern, exceptionally spacious, and very well equipped, more than we usually expect. We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. A truly wonderful holiday, and we'd happily recommend it.

The bikes and SUP in the apartment were there for us to use, and the property sits beside a walking and cycling path that goes to nearby towns. It's a great area for cycling. The apartment itself is a dream: very spacious, in a prime location, and furnished to a high standard in a modern style. The price felt fair for what we got. We also had a very pleasant exchange with the host, who was happy to answer questions beyond the accommodation.
