The house itself is beautiful and was well prepared, and aside from the end of our stay we had no problems. Final cleaning was included in the price, and we had paid extra to bring our dog. The host, who wasn't the owner, pointed to a partly dirty oven rack, a few water marks on the floor, three paw prints on a sheet, and some crumbs or bits of dog hair on the floor. We had already cleaned the water marks and vacuumed the room where the dog stayed. The sheet seemed washable in the machine. She said she'd never seen a dirtier house and gave us two choices: clean the whole house, including vacuuming, floors, oven and sheets, or pay at least €100 for chemical and deep cleaning, which didn't seem necessary for this situation. We needed to start driving home and thought that was probably the only way to get our deposit back, so we accepted getting €400 of the €500 deposit back. I can't find another issue with the stay, but this felt like too much of an exaggeration to accept. It's a pity to have to write this over €100 and an inaccurate description, since the included final cleaning apparently didn't match what happened.
