Apartments Jakov

Villa Jakov and its sibling Villa Rita were rated five stars by everyone, which is why we chose this apartment. But after what happened to us, I hope sharing our story helps someone else. We travelled more than 1,000 kilometres and ended up without accommodation in the middle of Croatia, with 12 people in our group. I really don't recommend these apartments.

I booked and paid for accommodation in June, well in advance. After ten tiring hours of driving and travelling, I arrived in Promajna only to find I couldn't check in because the apartment had been given to someone else. I was left without accommodation or help in the middle of Croatia and had to sleep in my car. Luckily, I found another apartment the next day. People living and providing accommodation in Brela, Baska Voda, and Promajna know about this problem. I hope this helps someone avoid a horrible summer holiday. I definitely don't recommend Villa Rita or Villa Jakov.

The accommodation manager said one apartment had been assigned to three families, and only one family could move in. That left two families without a place, including us. According to residents and accommodation providers in Promajna, Makarska, Baska Voda, and Brela, this has been happening for four years at Villa Rita and Villa Jakov. I think a new one is being built now too.

Dear Villa Jakov, you ruined the holiday for 12 people by giving our accommodation to someone else. We booked and paid for the apartments IN ADVANCE, travelled 1,000 kilometres, and still had nowhere to stay. We didn't book during covid! I don't know why my review disappeared, but I'll post it every day if you keep deleting it. Thanks for the wonderful holiday...
