The view of the amphitheater was amazing, and the staff were really helpful. We enjoyed both dinner and the continental breakfast, and the rooms were affordable. Our room had floor stains and felt a bit bare, and it seemed like we were the only guests there. It could have been cleaner, but I'd definitely stay again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is very good. You can see the arena, and some rooms look out over the sea. The breakfast choices are very limited, though the machine coffee wasn't great. You can ask for an espresso, which is good. This used to be a grand hotel, with high ceilings and chandeliers, but it no longer feels grand. Only the top two floors and the ground floor are in use because of a lack of investment, and the rooms are outdated. I

We were there in September, which worked out well, and our balcony had a stunning marina view. It was cool enough to sleep with the door open. In summer, though, I think the rooms would be boiling. The building and everything in it are rather old, which is understandable given its age. The location is great, close to both the bus station and ferry port. I'll stay again!

The staff were polite, and the building is interesting and in a good location next to Pula. That's about where the positives end. The hotel seems to have stopped maintaining and refurbishing parts of it back in the 1970s and 1980s. At around 570 kn a night, the rooms and facilities aren't worth the money. There's no air conditioning, so the rooms become like saunas in summer. The staff tried to keep things clean, but plaster and paint were peeling off the walls and window frames.

Ask for a harbour-view room if you want to watch the colourful cranes. The showers were really good and the rooms were clean, even though the place is old and hasn't been renovated in a long time. Breakfast is basic, and the 10am checkout is a nuisance. Parking seemed tricky if you don't have a Croatian phone for payment, but I found an app called paydo that worked around that.
