The room was tiny and in very poor condition, and definitely not worth the price. Check carefully what you've booked. We were given a small fan instead of the air conditioning we'd booked, with the host saying we could only use it at night because otherwise we'd have to pay the electricity cost. For context, a 40W fan running for 25 hours uses 1kw/h, which would cost less than 30 cents to run all day. Checkout was even worse. They tried to make us leave at 9, although our booking clearly gave a checkout window of 10 to 12. Asking for an invoice was another problem. Croatian law requires invoices and receipts, and accommodation invoices can be checked at the borders. We were flatly refused one, with claims that nobody had ever asked and that it was too much work. Fortunately, booking.com did a great job of getting them to issue a digital invoice. The house is also in a very bad area. Neither the city centre nor a beach is within walking distance, and public transport doesn't make either easy to reach.
