Hostel Cinema House

The staff were friendly, but this was easily the worst place I stayed on my trip through Croatia, Bosnia, and Slovenia. At about 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the city center, the location wasn't great either. The room was too hot without AC and the bed wasn't very comfortable. I had to move the bed to reach the socket behind it and charge my phone. The shower was awful: I had to turn off the water every 30 seconds and mop up to stop the room flooding. The price was too high for what we got.

We really enjoyed meeting Mr Marino, who was so friendly and helpful. The room and kitchen were very clean, and there was a lovely view across the olive orchard from the large terrace. The location is handy, about a 10-minute walk to the city center and 15 minutes to the shopping centre. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

After a full day out, Cinema House is a comfortable place to come back and rest. I've been visiting Pula for about four years, and this is a great-value option for backpackers. My single room had enough space for me and my things, and the decoration feels stylish, right down to the black bathroom tiles I liked so much. The accommodation is very clean and always smells fresh. The host is extremely kind and outgoing.

The inside was hotter than outside, which I haven't experienced at any other place without air conditioning. It was pretty much unlivable, and for a building only a year old, the design is really bad. When I arrived, it was closed even though I'd told them what time I would get there. I had to call and wait 10 minutes. He did make sure not to be late for checkout, though. He also complained about the price I got online. I've traveled a lot, and this is hands down the worst hotel I've stayed in.
