The hotel's two bars and their bartenders were its one saving grace. The hotel itself looks nice, but the rooms and service let it down. There was a mysterious wet patch on my blanket that made half the bed unusable. The only receptionist couldn't move me to another room, even though the hotel was half empty. At 03:00, a group of guests started singing and shouting. Reception said they couldn't do anything because they couldn't locate anyone. In the morning, members of my travel group found someone drunk and passed out in a chair on the first floor. Reception promised to act quickly, but after breakfast, 30 minutes later, the person was still there. Breakfast and dinner were buffets with an okay range, but the food was dry, bland, and not very tasty. It felt like a cheap roadside stop buffet, not a four-star hotel. Water cost extra, which is normal in the Balkans, but other hotels on our trip provided it free, so that was another minus.

The food could have been better, but the location more than made up for it. The views over the marina and sea are amazing, and the hotel is only eight minutes from town, which is ideal for visiting Pula and its rich history. It's also just 15 minutes from the airport, yet away from the flight path, so it's incredibly peaceful.

Our experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely return. The rooms greeted us with a pleasant scent and were spotlessly clean. The food was phenomenal, with dinners changing their style a little each time so they never got boring. The staff are truly professional, always smiling, friendly, and cheerful. That means a lot to me. I can only recommend this place to everyone.

The pine forest around Hotel Histria has endless trails for walking, running, or simply getting fresh air. There's plenty of outdoor sport and activity nearby too, and the whole area is great for recharging body and mind. I've returned to Hotel Histria many times a year, for work, a quiet Easter break, or a summer holiday. It's always my first choice in Pula. The sea, outdoor pool, and lovely beaches make the warmer months ideal. In colder weather, the heated indoor pool, wellness area, and beautiful sea views make a stay cozy and restorative. The hotel is elegant, spotlessly clean, and right on the coast, with spectacular views in every season. The atmosphere feels caring, and the staff are professional, kind, and attentive. Meals are lovely, beautifully prepared, and clearly made with heart.

We were in Croatia for the first time and really enjoyed the week. There was plenty of space to relax, and we never had to hurry for a sunbed because one was always available. Pool towels were provided, with two main bars and another by the pool serving lunch. The hotel was clean and kept in good shape throughout. We also liked the restaurant's wide food selection. Getting to Pula centre by Uber was easy, about €7 each way, and there were lots of bars and places to eat there.
