They seem to put the restaurant first at this autocamp. We were made to feel as if letting us pitch our tent in their little garden among the building materials was a favor. They were apparently so busy working at the restaurant that you were better off not needing anything. We handed over our only dirty sheets at 10 a.m. for washing, and got them back wet at 11 p.m. Since we were camping, that left us wondering how to put our two boys to bed without sheets. They charged 50 kuna for it. When we looked upset and tried to understand what had gone wrong, they mocked us in Croatian. Then came threats when we refused to pay 50 kuna for what they called a service. Oops, there, I said it.

The location made it easy to enjoy the waterfront, nearby shop and pub, and walking trails. The apartment had everything we needed for a quiet stay, including useful air conditioning for hot days. Our hosts were friendly and happy to help, and gave us a tip on where to find preserves made from seasonal local fruit. I highly recommend it.

We spent nearly all our time on the balcony/conservatory, where the windows open fully, and it really made the apartment feel more spacious. The place was very clean and close to the beach, and the landlord was friendly and accommodating. Fresh towels came regularly. The furnishings were a little dated, and the air conditioning had a somewhat unpleasant smell. Still, this affordable mid-September stay is highly recommended.

The terrace was fantastic, and the landlords were warm and always ready to help. The apartment was lovely and clean, with everything we needed. I'd happily give it even more stars. Highly recommend!
