Apartment Martina

I received a confirmed reservation through Booking.com, then a few hours later the host got in touch to say the apartment had already been rented privately and asked me to cancel. That felt completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It left me wondering what would have happened if I’d already paid or arrived. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want to feel secure about your accommodation.\n\nAfter the owner's reply, I understand that technical issues can happen. Still, as the guest, I had a confirmed Booking.com reservation and was later contacted privately and asked to cancel because the apartment had been rented elsewhere. The host should have reported the problem to Booking.com and asked them to handle the cancellation through the platform, rather than asking me to cancel a confirmed booking myself. I was also contacted in a language I don’t speak, which made an already confusing situation more stressful. This review describes what happened to me so future travelers can be informed. To me, professionalism means taking responsibility and using the proper channels when something goes wrong.

A great apartment and a great host.

Maria was always there to answer our questions or help out, and she was so warm with our daughter. The apartment was beautiful and well located, and we had a fantastic stay with a charming, accommodating hostess.

We stayed in the apartment with the terrace, and the view was splendid. Inside, it was modern and spacious, with a roomy living area, a nice terrace, and a decent-sized kitchen equipped with everything we needed, including a very convenient dishwasher. Martina was kind and helpful, and the different grappas she offered us were delicious. There are quite a few stairs to get up to the apartment, so it may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or a stroller. Highly recommended.
