The rooms are simply furnished but exceptionally clean, and the location works well. There's a good restaurant nearby, and Rab's old town is a 10-15 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk. The street is narrow, as are most streets in Croatia, but we managed to park and turn around our BMW 5 Series. Rab is a bit more expensive, though the price felt fair to me. There's also a pool, but it closes until 7 pm, which is a bit of a shame. During our stay, kids sometimes played there and nobody complained. This isn't really a place for pool-focused kids or people who want to drink on the balcony late into the night. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, I'd recommend it. The accommodation isn't aimed at partygoers, but I don't understand the bad reviews. The hostess brings fresh towels and freshly baked fritule without needing to be asked. She wasn't intrusive: once she asked when we'd be home so she could bring them, and another time she left them and sent us a text. It's normal for the hosts to live in the same house, and I thought it was reasonable for them to ask guests to shut windows and blinds when severe weather is forecast. Leaving the air conditioning on 24/7 also doesn't make sense.

The pool looked inviting at first, and the house has a lovely setting, but our vacation was affected by strict pool rules, close monitoring, and cleaning that wasn't thorough enough. The pool was open only from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a full break from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., when even entering the pool area was forbidden. Rules also banned jumping, inflatable mattresses, swimming gear, food, drinks, sunscreen, and more. The homeowner watched the area closely, which felt uncomfortable. The apartments and pool area looked clean initially, but dust and cobwebs were under tables and chairs. The pool got only a surface clean, and a robot vacuum cleaned the floor and walls just a few times during our stay. Some fruit trees, including oranges, limes, pomegranates, and figs, were so overgrown that we had to duck or move around them on the paths. We spent just under two weeks here as a family. The apartment isn't right on the beach, though there are lovely beach views from some spots, about 250 meters as the crow flies. The rooms are a good size, there are fruit trees around the grounds, and there's a large pool. The owner's wife was very friendly and brought homemade fritule and limoncello several times, plus a small farewell gift. The wooden gazebo with its big table, benches, and grill was especially nice, and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. There's potential here and the location is beautiful, but the strict pool rules, excessive monitoring, and inadequate cleaning detracted significantly from the holiday.

The apartment and the property were clean and very well maintained. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating.

The pool is very clean and well looked after, and the views from the two upper apartments are perfect. The apartments are beautiful and well equipped, and the hosts are so friendly and happy to help with anything. This was our sixth stay with the Jurič family, and once again we felt at home and welcome as soon as we arrived. We had another wonderful holiday, and we'll definitely return next year! 👍🇭🇷
