Apartments Lapida

We spent 11 days at Villa Lapida with 10 people and couldn't have asked for a better place. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable for our group, with a bathroom in every room. The two kitchens and refrigerators were plenty big enough, and we also had a washing machine and dryer. We enjoyed the two terraces and large balcony, all with fantastic views. The pool was clean, with 10 new sun loungers and two new parasols, so there was room for everyone. The outdoor shower was pleasant too. Some pool tiles are gradually coming loose, but we didn't consider that a real issue. There was also a new brick barbecue on the east-facing terrace, a lovely place to grill. We found Vito and his wife, their daughter Doris, and their son-in-law Ceasar helpful and hospitable. We never felt watched, and have nothing negative to report. There are a few simple rules about things like composting and parking, and following them wasn't a problem for us. We don't understand why some people describe the owners as fussy or say they felt monitored. Maybe they're just more sensitive about it than we are. It's a lovely house and works well for a large group. Every room has its own bathroom. The owners live right next door and seemed to come over twice a day to check things or point out problems. When we left, we got only half of our deposit back. Also, infants under one year old count as one person.

We were there for 10 days with 10 people. The house was in fairly good condition, and the pool was clean, though a few spots had sharp edges. The owners were the difficult part. It felt like living in a surveillance state, with every little thing noticed and pointed out straight away. Some things were already old and not fully in order, then broke during our stay, even though it seemed foreseeable they could break the next time they were used. The accommodation is recommendable if you can handle the landlords being fussy.

The pool and everything else were well maintained. We stayed in a top-floor apartment with a terrace, which had all the essentials, including air conditioning, a double bedroom, and two bathrooms. The location was excellent.
