Apartments Villa Papalina 2

Our review is about the services offered through the agency run by Nikola, their son, not about the accommodation. We didn't stay at Villa papalina. The property looked very nice, and Dario and his wife seemed very kind. We had considered renting with them again next year, but our experience with the agency was very negative because of what we felt was a lack of professionalism and transparency. Be careful while on holiday. We rented their Rio boat, 6.50 m, for nine days. They don't accept credit cards, so on a Sunday we had to withdraw a large amount of cash from an ATM. At the start, they were friendly and seemed very helpful, which lowered our guard. Cleaning was included, but the boat was dirty and wasn't cleaned during the rental. We should have reported that at the time. When the rental ended, they kept part of our deposit over alleged damage to the bow anchor compartment, possibly a scrape. They showed us a photo as evidence, but no before-and-after comparison. When we returned the boat, we'd been told everything was fine, with no complaint. We were certain the damage wasn't there, and found their response overbearing. The boat already had several small areas of damage or wear, but these weren't pointed out or inspected with us at the beginning. They also asked for a fuel receipt even though the requirement was only to return it with a full tank. That had never happened to us with previous rentals. Be careful if you use their services.

It's a quiet place, and the owners are very friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get away from stress. There are also plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.

The kind service and the view make Vila Papalina the loveliest accommodation in Barbat 👌

A great offer in a nice location, with wonderful hosts, a very clean house and the sea nearby.
