Apartments Villa Subic

I left feeling uncomfortable about the owners’ lack of flexibility. When my sister came by one morning with her teenage children for coffee and breakfast, the owner shouted at us and had her daughter call to say no visitors were allowed because they didn’t know who they were. We were told they couldn’t come in and had to leave right away. I’d explained on the phone that they weren’t staying overnight or for a long time, so banning a quick coffee visit felt unreasonable. It put a damper on the rest of my trip. The owner, who manages the property day to day, didn’t speak English and was unpleasant about it. Her daughter, who handled my check-in, was friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy after a full day of travel. The garden and pool were tidy, clean, and welcoming, though the hot tub wasn’t working during my stay. My room was clean and tidy when I arrived, but over the week nobody replaced the towels or took out the rubbish, and there weren’t even spare bin bags. The listing on hotels.com advertised shampoo and free toiletries, but the only thing supplied was a small bar of soap. The area is beautiful, the hotel is close to the beach and restaurants, and the property itself is fairly nice. Still, the service didn’t feel worth the higher price or 4-star rating. I wouldn’t return, mainly because of the owners’ lack of friendliness and flexibility.
