Arba Resort, Valamar Collection

During our 8-day October stay, our son never once asked for screen time. We wanted a quiet break but still needed to keep our 7-year-old busy, and this place worked out perfectly. It’s a beautiful spot surrounded by nature, with lots to do outside, from walks and runs to swimming. Families looking for a peaceful getaway without the usual tourist crowds should enjoy it, and it’s still only a short drive from whatever you need. A real island holiday with fresh air and outdoor activities.

We went in October and enjoyed every minute. The pools were clean, and there was a wide choice of food. The cakes and other sweets were the best we’d eaten, so congratulations to the chef! Our child loved both the indoor and outdoor spaces. There are lots of playrooms, an outdoor park, pools, and the whole hotel is great for children. We’re going back this year and can’t wait.

Our suite worked really well for a family, with plenty of wardrobe space, two large bathrooms, a terrace, and lots of room. The food was consistently tasty, and there was a nice range of snacks, drinks, and fresh fruit available through the day. We felt a few more varied sports activities could add to the guest experience, though the stay was already excellent. At the newly opened Arba Resort on Rab, the staff’s warmth and friendliness stood out. Aleksandar at reception and Ms. Sara Bačić were especially kind during check-in. Thanks as well to the whole Emerald restaurant team, Maja, Ivan Jan, Elena, Marin, and Kristina. Valentina recommended dishes thoughtfully, and everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. Ms. Kristina Dumičić gave us personal attention too, while the transfer drivers were always helpful and housekeeping kept our room perfectly tidy each day. We came away very happy and would gladly return. Arba Resort has a wonderful team and lots of potential to become one of the best places on Rab.

The food was top level, and I’m pretty demanding. Staff were just as good, always helpful and willing to do their best with anything you asked, even room changes. The amenities are top level for kids aged 1-14. Teenagers get a bit less out of them. The rooms have a somewhat weird design, and the park side isn’t nice, with no view and a parking lot outlook. You’ll be disappointed if you don’t get a sea-side room. One frustration is the big gap between V Level guests and everyone else, with different restaurants and pools. It can leave you feeling frustrated if you didn’t book a V Level room. Also, the hotel is brand new, and the plants and greenery are still growing in. It should look much nicer from 2026 or 2027.
