Arbiana Heritage Hotel

The only downside was parking near the hotel, which costs 20€ per day. It’s monitored, and spaces are limited, so I guess that’s reasonable. You can’t park near the sea. There’s a pool too, though we didn’t use it. The location is amazing, right by the old town with plenty of entertainment nearby. The nearest city beach is only a five-minute walk. Staff were friendly and professional, the interior was modern and high quality, and there was a big choice at both breakfast and dinner. Dinner on the outside terrace would be perfect for a romantic date. I’d definitely recommend it!

The harbor is right there, at the end of the promenade, but the hotel still feels very central. The main square is only a short walk away, and I recommend climbing the tower just behind the hotel for a full view of Rab, then wandering through the old town. Our room was quiet, cozy, and comfortable, with a great view over the sea and harbor. Breakfast had everything, including excellent ham and cheese omelets. The staff were professional, excellent, and very helpful. Definitely worth the five stars. I’d recommend it and will return.

We missed the cancellation deadline by one day because our parents were in a car crash and we had to cut the holiday short. The hotel showed no understanding and didn’t refund a single cent. I understand it wasn’t their fault, but keeping the whole fee says a lot about their priorities. We used none of the facilities, and even after publicly acknowledging the reason, they still chose not to refund any of it. In reply to the response below, we did notify them through Expedia, so communication between the hotel and whoever handles its bookings seems poor. They now know why we cancelled and still kept all the money. I’d avoid them in future.

The team at Arbiana made everything feel personal, from arranging eBikes to surprising us with exclusive olive oil for our anniversary. Reception, breakfast and dinner staff, and room service all showed a level of attention to detail I rarely see, even at five-star resorts. Arbiana Heritage Hotel is a great choice for a special occasion. The building mixes historic elegance with modern comfort, and the views of the sea, harbor, and peaceful courtyard are mesmerizing. It’s in a prime location, and the pool has a quiet sense of luxury. The restaurant was the best on the island for us, romantic, classy, and serene. We left with unforgettable memories and will certainly return. Hats off to the wonderful Arbiana team!
