We came as a family and felt welcome and at ease from the start. The hotel still has a tucked-away feel, without crowds, and the service and facilities are excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and always happy to help. We loved our holiday and are already looking forward to returning. Many thanks to the whole team. There was plenty to do, from the two pools to renting a SUP. The turquoise coves nearby were great for swimming and snorkeling in clear water. Cyclists have lots of mountain biking trails close by, and it's easy to rent regular bikes or e-bikes. Mountain bikes can even be brought right to the hotel, so you can set off in the morning. Rab is easy to reach by car or by boat taxi. The hotel sits on a picturesque peninsula, with wide sea views on three sides, and there's a private parking area for guests. The property is attractive and well equipped, with modern, stylish, comfortable rooms where every detail seemed considered. It was kept in excellent condition and suited both relaxing and active holidays. Breakfast had plenty of fresh choices for different tastes and ran until 11 a.m., which made for a leisurely start. The dinner buffet was varied, refined, and delicious, though the 7 to 9 p.m. window felt a little short. An earlier start would be nice. We also missed the special dinners that used to be served at the beach restaurant, a highlight in earlier years. Evening events are held there now, and we hope regular dinner service might return.

The villas made for a carefree holiday, and we appreciated the dog-friendly approach. Booking, check-in, and getting things sorted were handled correctly and flexibly. The staff were always kind and very helpful, and we have no complaints. The one drawback is that some villas could use a refresh, since a few have a slightly musty smell. I think that could be fixed without much cost. This was our third stay at the Carolina and our umpteenth at a Valamar hotel. Whenever we get to the island of Rab, we feel a comforting sense of calm. The hotel and its setting are hard to beat: green lawns, trees, cicadas, and turquoise water. The pool was never crowded, so it was a great place to unwind. In our view, Croatia has the best service. We recommend Carolina Hotel to everyone.

The pool's view over the bay is an amazing finishing touch. This is easily our favourite hotel on the island of Rab. Its modernist, minimalist design fits naturally into the landscape, and we'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful setting, well-kept grounds, and tasty Croatian food.

We had one of the best holidays of our lives here. The staff were so kind, the food was delicious, and the view was amazing. I'd suggest choosing a sea-facing room. The massage was very professional, and afterwards they explained which parts of my body needed more daily attention. If you're looking to relax on Rab, this is the place.

There's a lovely cozy feel around the beaches, with trees all around them. Our balcony had a beautiful view, and we found the staff very nice. The clean rooms and well-equipped fitness room were good too. Breakfast and dinner changed a little from day to day, and I also liked that the hotel pays attention to nature and sustainability.
