Camping Oliva Mobile Homes

The reception team were professional and super friendly, and we had an amazing week here. I can only recommend the place, and we’ll definitely come back.

The pitch had some shade, but it was uneven and we could only use half of it. Nearby pitches were crowded with several tents and gazebos pushed right up to the edges, which felt really cramped and uncomfortable. When we arrived, motorhomes were queuing up the road and the staff couldn’t keep up, so getting served took ages. The pool area was dirty, the toilet block smelled a bit, and the bins were overflowing. The beach was overcrowded too. It just wasn’t a nice site. Avoid it!

We had a great time at Oliva, and check-in and check-out were quick and straightforward. All four pools were lovely, and the extra €5 per person for the stay was well worth it. The toilets were consistently clean and stocked with toilet paper, and the showers were great. A few things could be better: add more speed bumps because some drivers went pretty fast; make it clearer what camping guests can use compared with hotel residents, since the website makes it seem like campers can use indoor facilities such as the gym; and have more leaflets at reception about local hikes and activities. Otherwise, it was great!

The first problem hit right after our 10-hour drive: the mobile home's gas stove didn't work and there was no hot water. Reception said they'd fix it but couldn't say when, since there were another 3,000 people at the campsite. I found that response rude. We'd booked and paid the full price, so their being overbooked shouldn't have been our problem. The place is packed, with people everywhere and everything occupied. We tried for three days to rent a pedal boat, but there wasn't a free one, and bookings weren't allowed. The campsite restaurant is expensive and the food was thoroughly mediocre. The little market shop had rotten vegetables and was expensive apart from that too. Our mobile home was tiny, with low quality throughout and barely any kitchen utensils. Things were scratched, broken, and battered. The air conditioner's outdoor unit vibrated so loudly that you could hear it through half the home. There was a constant smell of feces, from outside or the toilet, I couldn't tell. The mini-golf was poorly kept, with broken things on some holes and very uneven flooring.
