Mate was very kind, and the accommodations were wonderful. My room was comfortable, elegant and beautiful. I’d absolutely come back and recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

We visited in May, probably the quieter season, and the hotel felt calm and intimate. Our room was spacious enough to lay out our things and get ready for the next morning’s adventures, and it had a private balcony where we could sit and listen to nature. The bed was comfortable, and there was parking on the property. The host met us when we arrived, even though only a few guests were staying that night, and suggested places to visit nearby, including Rastoke, which I recommend checking out. Villa Stone was an excellent base for seeing Plitvice Lakes National Park, just a short distance from the entrance, on a road lined with other hotels.

Mate, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and thoughtful suggestions, including a really outstanding restaurant. The guest house was a wonderful surprise, easily one of the best places I’ve stayed. Our room was fantastic and could outshine many high-end hotels.

Breakfast was a real highlight, and the owner was warm and helpful. We also liked how easy it was to get to Plitvice Lakes. Our room was spacious, with a balcony and views over the countryside. We loved staying here.

The staff made us feel so welcome, with lots of helpful tips on restaurants and getting tickets for the national park. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view, a nice bathroom, handy charging ports, and good air conditioning. Keep the window shut at night, though, or mosquitoes may get in. There are shops and plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the town has beautiful waterfalls as well as the national park. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it.
