The hosts were kind and helpful, and the apartment had everything we needed. It was also very clean and comfortable, in a great location. Highly recommended!

The apartment looks good in the photos, but it has seen better days. The table had come away from the wall, there were some stains on the floor that I couldn’t identify, and the bathroom tile grout was cracked. I had to fix the shower door just so we could use the shower. The slides were out, and the bathroom threshold is a little hazard. After stubbing my toe on it three times, I learned to watch out. It was also unpleasant sharing the place. The apartment is basically two units separated by what seems like a very thin plasterboard wall. You can hear everything next door, even the floor moving when someone walks, and feel every step in your room. The hallway is shared, and if the person next door comes home late, drunk, and talks to someone out there for half an hour, it’s hard to ignore when your bed is right by the door. The listing should say plainly that this is a room divided by a partition. I would have reconsidered staying if I’d known. The other big issue is the stairs. In our opinion, the listing needs to state that this is the fifth floor with no elevator. The narrow spiral staircase is quite a climb. We’re still young, but I can’t imagine my parents planning a vacation for a year and then being disappointed by that setup. Parking isn’t the landlord’s responsibility, of course, but you can only park by the house for two hours. After that you have to move the car or walk back every two hours to get another ticket. The only ticket machine in the city wasn’t working, so that wasn’t even possible. In the end, it seemed better to leave the car there and pay the 11€ fine, which costs the same as getting a new ticket every two hours.
