Apartments Villa Nora

The terrace was the real standout for us, with an amazing sea view and Rijeka off to one side and Opatija on the other. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. We spent 11 days at Villa Nora in Rijeka, and it’s easily the best private apartment we’ve ever stayed in. We were in Apartment No. 2, with a living room and bedroom, a good fit for three people. It was spotless, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and a heating and cooling system that we didn’t need to use because the weather was pleasant. Our host, Mrs. Nada, was lovely and looked after her guests so well. Having private garage parking was a big help on that narrow street with so many cars parked outside. Villa Nora is in a quiet part of Rijeka, about 6 km from the centre. The drive in is pleasant, and there’s plenty of parking in town. I’d recommend the Zagrad 2 parking garage, which is quite affordable at 0.4 euro/hour. There are several large supermarkets within walking distance, though driving is more convenient since they all have free parking. The sea is just a few meters away, with two beaches nearby. We didn’t visit the larger one, but the smaller beach shares the villa’s name and is beautiful, rocky, shaded by evergreen trees, and has crystal-clear water. The terrace also looks out over the surroundings. We also visited Opatija, Pula, and Rovinj, all within about 100 km. Rijeka is a wonderful city, and this was a really lovely, peaceful holiday by the sea that we’d recommend.
